I love that commercial! Tax time and credit report checking time goes hand in hand. Don’t forget to check your credit reports. You should be doing it annually. And if you are checking out these “free” credit report places, make sure to opt out or cancel your trial of whatever they try to sell you before the trial period ends to make sure it’s really free. Usually it’s some credit monitoring program, which you shouldn’t need if you check your report once a year, and if you haven’t been identity jacked recently.

And if your credit score is low, work to raise it. Pay off your debts, stop defaulting…all that good stuff, okay?
