New York City « International Pillow Fight Day | April 3rd 2010.

It’s that time of year ya’ll! Two of my favorite days are coming up. The first Saturday of Spring and the NYC Pillow Fight Day!

If you have never been to this event, now is the time to put it in your plans because there’s nothing like a whole bunch of people taking a break from our hectic NYC lives to laugh and play together.

If you are worried about the mass amount of people hitting eachother with pillows becoming a tad bit dangerous, fear not! These people are here to rejoice, not fight, and it has gone on without incident year after year. It is definitely people friendly, and especially kid friendly. If you aren’t in the mood to get hit by pillows, just don’t bring one, stand on the outside of the crowd, or carry a camera. People will respect the rule of not hitting non-hitters. I would though, suggest bringing an old pillow and just not participating, because you can donate your pillows. They will send them to a No-Kill Animal Shelter to use as bedding for the animals, which is AWESOME and a worthy cause to get behind.

I didn’t go last year, but I plan to be there this year. I will definitely post the pics. Will I see you there, too?

If you aren’t in NYC but would love to see the action, check the link at the top to see if it’s being held in a city near you, or to suggest that they bring it to town.

Love you. Lata.
